Residence Permits
The residence permit usually is for the Non- citizen who intend to reside in Tanzania for the purpose of business, employment, investment, or any other legal activity which may be issued with Residence Permit. There are there types of residence permits are class A, B and C.whereas both applications are supposed to filled online
Requirements For Residence Permit Class A
- Application letter
- Passport size photograph
- A copy of National Passport and supposed to be valid not less than six months
- Certificate of Incentive if the said business or project has been registered with TIC or ZIPA and EPZA
- Board Resolution
- Certificate of Incorporation or certificate of compliance or Business Registration or Certificate of change of name
- Valid Business License
- Certificate for Registration of Tax payers (TIN)
- One full size photograph
- A valid tax clearance certificate
- Company Current Bank Statement if it needed
- Tax payment slips
- Lease Agreement or Certificate of Occupancy
- A document which shows assets of the Company
- Physical Verification Visit Report only if it needed
- Registration Certificates from Relevant Authorities in case the said Business requires Authorization from specific Regulatory Authority

-USD 50 for each dependent
-USD 1000 for Diaspora investors
-USD 1550 for East African Citizen
Requirements For Residence Permit Class B
- Application letter
- Work Permit issued by Labor Commissioner
- Covering letter from the Employer
- Passport size photograph
- copy of National Passport and supposed to be valid not less than six months
- Curriculum Vitae of the employee
- Certified copies of the Academic Certificates
- Job description
- Employment contract
- A valid tax clearance certificate
- Previous Original Class B permits, in case of renewal or replacement
- Letter of no objection only if the application has shifted from another company
- Tax Clearance
- Registration of Certificates from professional Board if it needed
- Organization structure of the Company
- Memorandum and Article of Association or Extract from Registrar showing that, shareholders, share distribution and nominal capital of the company
- Certificate of Incorporation or certificate of compliance or Business Registration or Certificate of change of name
- Valid Business License
- Tax payer’s Identification Number (TIN)
- One full size photograph
- A valid tax clearance certificate
